I think I was born to communicate. I get way too excited about things to just keep them to myself. In my many years in the media, and now in media relations, I’ve always spread the word about something.
After 15 years as a news reporter for WXRT, WBEZ and WGN radio in Chicago, I plunged into PR and marketing. You name it, I’ve done it when it comes to media relations — government, business-to-consumer, hi-tech, business-to-business, and of course, digital PR and marketing.
What do I love most? Seeing results. Whether it’s helping businesses communicate the value they bring to their customers, helping CEOs and other executives navigate interviews and establish media relationships, or helping entrepreneurs get coverage in traditional or social media outlets. The best results of all are when clients tell me that their coverage has gotten the attention of new and existing customers. If you’re thinking about whether media relations can help your business, or if you want examples of what I’ve done for my clients, send me an email: Michelle (at) MichelleDamico (dot) com.
