I&#039;m not involved with the VC industry either, but I would agree with you.  I am currently in transition and  I attend a great number of networking events and events at my local career center.  I hear so many people speak endlessly about themselves and their career aspirations.  Sometimes these mini-speeches can take a couple minutes.  I agree...whether you are a person who&#039;s in transition at a networking event or a business looking for funding (or even employees, for that matter)...there is a huge need to get to the point very quickly.  We live in a world of short attention spans...and I think the elevator pitch, however it is used, can help grab and keep someone&#039;s attention.</description>
